Personal Description:

I am a theoretical physicist (with a Ph.D. in Physics and a strong background in Mathematics) and an amateur astronomer passionate about everything that is scientific/mathematical in nature. My quest to understand stars and how rainbows form is what led me onto the path of my scientific pursuit over the past 25 years. In the process, I have carved a niche for myself as a teacher, who can explain complex concepts in the most practical terms using vivid examples and analogies. I am also an avid listener of music and a fine cook. After obtaining my Ph.D. (Physics) from the US and working there as an assistant professor for a few years, I moved to Toronto (Canada) in 2018.

Tutoring Experience:

I have over 15 years of experience teaching as a TA and later as an assistant professor at college/university level. I have taught various subjects including (but not limited to) Physics, Astronomy, Mathematics, General Physical Sciences, C programming language, and scientific programming (using C and Maple). I have the expertise to teach Physics and Mathematics at any level from Middle School to Senior Undergradua**Contact Detail Removed**vel.

Tutoring Approach:

With a valuable experience teaching students at different levels and from diverse backgrounds, I have refined my teaching methods over the years. Students learning under my guidance will learn fundamental concepts, and when needed, will solve problems using different methods and derive equations from the first principles. Students are highly encouraged to ask questions and not commit to rote practice or memorization. Understanding basics from the first principles and equipped with problem-solving skills, my students will gain confidence to perform well in school and on the competitive exams such as AP (Advanced Placement), SAT, MCAT (and even at the Olympiads/contests!).
