Personal Description:

I support students in a variety of mathematic areas, such as Elementary Math and Algebra. I encourage students to ask questions when they come up and find ways to relate concepts to real life. I want my students to gain a deeper understanding of the material and the reasons behind them. I love working with students 1-on-1 to develop their confidence.

Tutoring Experience:

I have over 25 years of experience as a tutor and mentor. I began tutoring as an undergraduate and went on to earn my master's degree in Chemical Engineering. I also taught a Chemistry Lab course for the Chemistry Department. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and I graduated Magna Laude.

Tutoring Approach:

As a math tutor, I want to align my teaching methods with the student's learning tendencies and goals. I try to get an idea of where they are in their studies and approach the information in as many different ways as it takes to get through to them.
