Personal Description:

I'm a fourthyear univeristy student at Trinity Western University studying Applied Linguistics. I work well one-on-one because I can devote better attention to an individual and meet their personal needs for learning. I enjoy playing piano and staying active such as doing yoga. this semester at my university I am a volunteer student leader in teaching a yoga class twice a week.

Tutoring Experience:

At my current tutoring position that I have had for the past 9 months, I work as a writing coach through my school which is training for the CRLA tutor certification. Through this position I assist individuals in every stage of the wiritng process. I assisted with several ballet classes for 5 years, instructing the whole class if necessary, correcting students and explaining dance concepts while demonstrating the corrections myself. I also tutored two students in my own time with two separate Linguistics classes for a semester.

Tutoring Approach:

I individualize each session to the tutee, looking at their strengths for learning styles and taking what they already know and stimula**Contact Detail Removed**arning by hinting towards the answer. I base sessions on the students' ideas and their wants for how the session should go, eager to answer any questions that they may have.
