Personal Description:

I am currently studying Jazz Guitar at Marianopolis College. I am a creative and dynamic person that enjoys challenges and would like to expand on my knowledge of teaching. I find teaching to be a very passionate experience and I would like to strive for more opportunities in something that I love to do.

Tutoring Experience:

I used to work at the YMCA as a tutor helping youth, providing, and teaching necessary academic resources and tools for students ranging from 12 to 17 years of age. As the site animator, my responsibilities included supervising and strengthening positive behavior. I was also an intern at Recording Arts Canada as a teaching assistant. I was responsible for offering creative and interactive activities to an average of 20 students between 20 - 35 years of age and provides additional support and private tutoring in studios when needed.

Tutoring Approach:

When it comes to teaching my students, I believe that communication and patience are of the utmost importance. Patience is important because it promotes a less stressful environment with the teacher which then leads to better communication and more questions to be asked. When these two tools are utilized, it allows for clearer and more concise lessons.
