Personal Description:

My name is Mary. I have an Honours BSc degree with a major in Chemistry and minors in Math and Biology. I currently teach mostly highschool Math students, from grade 9 general Math to grade 12 calculus and vectors.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been tutoring since highschool (>7 years) in subjects such as Math, Biology, Chemistry and highschool Science. I have been teaching Math one-on-one with all grade levels and university students.
I also provide tailored lesson plans to each student and what they would like to achieve in our tutoring sessions.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is to facilitate your learning. Not only to teach you a topic that might or might not be new, but to also guide you on how to arrive to the solution. In a way the student will be able to answer their own questions by me guiding their thinking. One-on-one tutoring is best because I am able to give all my attention to the student that they need, and create a plan for their sessions as well as give specific feedback.

Tutoring sessions are held online through Zoom or Microsoft Teams
