Personal Description:

I am a poet who self-publishes a zine of prose, poetry, and art called The **Removed By Admin** being the irrational fear of literature--ironic I know!). I have been published by**Removed By Admin** the journal of The Haiku Society of America, and I have Macbeth's famous soliloquy memorized. In high school, I was a skateboarder, and I have the scars of a compound fracture to prove it!

Tutoring Experience:

I gained my tutoring experience by tutoring friends and relatives. For example, I have a little brother who, not unlike my younger self, struggles with composition. I continue to help him and other relatives, as well as friends, polish their writing, whether it be academic, creative, or formal (as for a resume).

Tutoring Approach:

Having once struggled with writing myself, I understand how frustrating it can be for one to not be able to properly express him/herself. As a tutor, I work toward building the confidence in my students that they need in order to be able to write well. I do this in part by helping them understand that words are empowering, which, in turn, motivates them to keep learning.
