Personal Description:

Hi my name is Lucas and i'm 30 years old. I've been playing guitar since I was 12 and have a deep love of music. Some of my favorite guitarists and composers are Chuck Loeb, Larry Carlton, Norman Brown, Dave Grusin and Pharrell Williams. For the past 10 years I have been pursuing the more advanced aspects of music to become a more well rounded player and composer. I love guitar improvisation and music composition and am pursuing a career as a professional guitarist and music producer.

Tutoring Experience:

I'm confident in all aspects of music theory and guitar playing. I took lessons for 7 years and last year I thoroughly reviewed the lessons taught in Jazz Guitar School with the late Chuck Loeb.

Tutoring Approach:

I can teach jazz guitar concepts and I can teach music theory that is applied to all instruments. Beginners to advanced welcomed :). Here is a breakdown of some of the concepts that we can go over in lessons:

Basic chords open and barred
Major scale
Minor scale
Diatonic chords of major and minor scales
Harmony
Chord tensions and extensions
Modes of the major and minor scales
Chord voicings
6 positions of the major scale (applying to guitar only)
Modulations
Chord tone soloing
Target notes in solos

I can also transcribe your favorite tunes and write them down for you on sheet music!. I have quite an advanced digital music production setup that I can teach about as well. I have Berklee textbooks on jazz and chord books that I can lend out or give photo copies for if your interested!!:). I also have Berklee books on producing in home studios that I can lend out or give photocopies for if interested! :).**Removed By Admin** I can teach in home or I can come to your place and teach you there. I have more than one guitar so bringing your own is an option for you. My rate is $50 an hour $25 for half and hour and $90 for 2 hrs! If your low income I can go cheaper to compensate. I am not available Monday eves after 6 or Wednesday eves after 6. Any other time is fine.
