Personal Description:

I am offering lessons for flute, piccolo and recorder.

I have recently returned from 10 years in London, UK, where I earned my Bachelor degree at the Royal College of Music and my Masters at the Royal Academy of Music. I have taught in schools and given masterclasses in Canada and abroad. I have also performed as principal flute and soloist with orchestras and chamber groups in Canada and the UK. I am seeking students to teach either in person (I am based in Ottawa) or over Skype.

Tutoring Approach:

In my lessons, we focus on the fundamentals of music making as the groundwork for all repertoire to be played. Each student works at a different pace and learns in another way, so I always adjust my lessons to best suit the individual I'm working with.

I teach all genres, from baroque to contemporary and jazz. I also teach music theory and composition.
