Personal Description:

I am a certified (OCT) Intermediate and Senior Mathematics and Science teacher with over 9 years teaching experience in the classroom and over 15 years of tutoring experience. I have also worked for 5 years in biotechnology research. I have a degree in Biophysics and have been teaching Grade 11 and 12 Physics, Grade 9 and 10 Mathematics, Grade 11 and 12 Chemistry and Grade 11 Biology and Biotechnology for the past 6 years.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been tutoring Mathematics and Science courses for over 15 years ranging from grade 1 to grade 12. I have been a teaching assistant (TA) in the following engineering and physics courses: 1st year Engineering Physics, 3rd year Nuclear Physics, 2nd year Electricity and Magnetism.

I am currently an OCT certified high school teacher teaching in permanently in the classroom and have my Honours Specialist in Physics.

Tutoring Approach:

As is my approach in the classroom, I want each student to not simply learn to get by, but learn to discover and apply. I take the time to learn the student's interests and hobbies and to try and infuse these things into how I approach teaching the curriculum; by connecting concepts to things a student already enjoys helps create a strong foundation for learning and retention.
