Personal Description:

Throughout my years as a student, I spent a great deal of time watching my instructors and their interactions with students. This coupled with my own work with students has allowed me to develop my own teaching style and develop techniques to make concepts easy to understand and fun. It is my goal as a French tutor to help students enjoy their lessons while they gain confidence in themselves and their ability to learn on their own.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in marine biology from a single university. In addition to my scientific studies, I've also had five years of French. During my undergraduate and graduate studies, I gained instructional experience working as a teaching assistant for a variety of courses. I've additionally worked with students individually as a tutor.

I earned an ACT Composite score of 23, a score of 153 on the GRE Quantitative, and a 161 on the GRE Verbal.

Tutoring Approach:

I always try to find common ground when I begin working with a student. This gives us a great place to start and a foundation from which we can build a successful tutoring relationship.
