Personal Description:

I am a masters student in Greek and Roman history. I really enjoy teaching and helping people to love the language they're learning! I focus on Roman poetry in my research, so Latin is of particular interest to me and I love to spend the time showing others how fun it can be.

Tutoring Experience:

I was a peer mentor during my undergrad for two years with great success. For two hours each week, I was assisting my fellows with their languages. I have also instructed an ancient Greek class during a professors absence.I am currently a TA in my role as a graduate student.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that learning requires interest and I aim to foster interest in the Latin language by means of a little bit of Roman history. Learning should also be consistent and reenforced with some homework and repetition of what has already been learned. The student and tutor are partners, figuring out what methods work best for the student and what areas need to be focused on.
