Personal Description:

After tutoring a wide variety of students I have learned that each one is unique. Not only is there a diverse mixture of interests and language levels, but there is also great diversity in the way students learn. My work with students as a French tutor has taught me to think outside the instructional box and come up with new ways of teaching based on the needs of the individual student.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my undergraduate degree in foreign languages and literature. I began tutoring during my second semester in the Spanish department. As part of my collegiate career, I also received tutoring in French. It was with my French tutor that I learned numerous tutoring techniques that I now employ with my students.

Tutoring Approach:

In addition to customizing the lessons to reflect the student's needs and learning style, I believe repetition is important. I ask detailed questions and provide example exercises to ensure they understand the material.
