Personal Description:
I am able to help students with a variety of science and physics topics. I enjoy being a math tutor because of the opportunity to help people learn effectively. I believe any student can learn, and that my job is to make that process as enjoyable and efficient as possible. During 1-on-1 sessions, I am able to guide students through the most important material at a pace that suits their goals.
Tutoring Experience:
I earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. I also have a master's degree in Education. I have 15 years of experience teaching physics at the university level, and 10 years of experience in elementary education.
Tutoring Approach:
I take time to get to know each student and understand what their goals and needs are. One of my principles as a math tutor is that I always give the student a chance to figure a problem out themselves before I give them the answer. This encourages independent thinking and problem solving.
