Personal Description:

I became a teacher because I wanted to help children who struggle with learning to be successful. I personally struggled when initially learning to read as well as with regular schooling as a gifted child. A few teachers in my education made a great impact on me and I do my best to be that person for others.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been a full time teacher and tutor since 2008 and am a qualified Reading and Special Education Specialist. I have worked as both a special education and homeroom teacher in the private and public system. This has given me a lot of experience developing IEPs and implementing learning plans to help students be successful.

Tutoring Approach:

A child focused approach that focuses on a relationship is at the centre of the sessions. Building a relationship with your child helps them be as successful as possible. We develop a plan based on the initial assessment and set goals for your child to be successful both in the sessions and in the classroom and beyond.
