Information About John

Hamilton tutor

Personal Description:

I have a PhD in Computational Analysis and Modeling, MS in Mechanical Engineering, and MS in Mathematics from the US.
I have taught Mathematics, Physics and Engineering at the high school and college level for over 8 years. I have taught in the USA, Marshall Islands, Caribbean and Dubai. I love teaching and always try to simplify a topic for my students. My main belief about education is that, anyone can learn anything if he/she desires to work hard.

Tutoring Experience:

2008-2009: Grambling State University, Grambling, Louisiana, USA (Engineering Instructor)
2010-2012: Louisiana Tech University University, Ruston, Louisiana, USA (Mathematics Lecturer)
2012-2014 : College of the Marshall Islands, Majuro, Marshall Islands (Mathematics Instructor)
2014-2016: Bastrop High School, Bastrop, Louisiana (Mathematics Teacher)
2016-2020: Higher Colleges of Technology, Dubai, UAE (Mathematics, Physics and Engineering Assistant Professor)

Tutoring Approach:

I prefer to spend time to simplify the topic(s) for a student. As a result, it is best for a student to provide a 1 to 2 day time period to prepare. This allows me to design a strategy to help him/her learn.

The best method is to send a copy of the topics or problems you are having issues with, then we meet 1 or 2 days later so that I can help to clarify any problems you are having. I also prefer to leave the student with additional practice problems to reinforce the topics learned.
