Personal Description:

I enjoy teaching and mentoring students to more easily understand the subjects they need to learn or are struggling with. I have worked both one-on-one and in a classroom setting for several years and have developed a belief through my experience that learning doesn't have to be stressful, difficult or boring. Watching a student learn, succeed and grow as they learn to master their subject is one of the most rewarding things I do.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught English and ESL for eight years and received my Honours BA. in History. I have mentored and tutored many students for more than eight years in these subjects both in Canada and internationally.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is student based because everyone has a different learning style. By developing resources and approaches that fit them personally it is easier for students not only to learn their subject but more importantly to excel at it and enjoying the process of learning. Understanding the student's needs and how they learn is the key to helping them get the results they want.
