Personal Description:

I am an English tutor who firmly believes that it is my job to understand how each of my students learns best and adapt my approach to fit their academic strengths. I not only want to help my students excel academically, but I also want to help them develop their critical thinking skills. I enjoy using a variety of strategies to help my ESL students including acting and drawing out different scenarios.

Tutoring Experience:

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Community Development. While living in both Thailand and Taiwan, I tutored many students from all age ranges in many different subjects. Additionally, I am experienced in tutoring ESL adult learners.

Tutoring Approach:

My priorities during tutoring sessions are to make learning fun and ensure that students feel actively involved in the learning process. I focus our first session on talking with my students to better understand their specific goals and any fears they may have about their academic abilities. Then, I create a checklist of important concepts for every session.
