Personal Description:

I am currently a third year student at Mount Royal University in Calgary. I am majoring in Anthropology, and minoring in Religious Studies and History. I have a great passion for learning about cultures and ancient civilizations, but I also enjoy a more creative approach with social studies.
I am currently Miss North Calgary World 2020, and a national finalist for Miss World Canada. This ensures I am up to date on current events.
I am also a dancer, and enjoy teaching dance in my spare time.

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored on the side, not for money, but I always enjoyed teaching. I have been doing so for 3 years.
I also teach dance as a hobby.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is to tailor to my students needs. I am flexible, so I will tutor in person or online. I will vary my teaching style depending on the ability and needs of the student. I aim to run my tuition in support of the progression of my students through their subject syllabus, but I am also willing to progress more slowly and focus on particularly weak areas if the student so desires. I will also offer pre-exam revision sessions for all exams including modular resits and conduct end of topic tests and mock exams should the student desire.
I will provide detailed feedback on how they are performing and areas where they need to improve.
I take a slight more creative approach in comparison to other tutors. Trying to find ways to engage my students interest by finding ways to relate to them on certain topics. I also like to hammer down on the details that the student doesn't feel like they understand.
I also have my own little personal approach in which it is not just me at the end of the day that is teaching them. If a student can teach me something new, we know that they have an understanding of the topic and are headed in the right direction. That way I can evaluate and help my student grow in confidence as well.
