Personal Description:

I have always been passionate about grammar and etymology as I come from a family of editors. My curiosity and love of learning have carried on through adulthood. Now, by becoming an English tutor, I want to share that passion with my students. Whether your student learns best through pneumonic devices and word games or close-reading, I can adapt my teaching style to meet their specific needs.

Tutoring Experience:

In addition to my strong background in editing, I have a bachelor's degree in English. Beyond tutoring, I have been published across multiple disciplines and completed grant proposals. I am available to help with anything related to English, from first-grade reading and writing through college-level American Literature.

Tutoring Approach:

I take a personalized approach to tutoring. First, I get to know my students through face-to-face interaction. Then, we work together through their areas of weakness. I provide numerous analogies and examples and encourage plenty of practice.
