Personal Description:

I have a fairly vast array of both educational achievements and work and life experiences that make make a fairly useful person to have in the event of a trivia game marathon. I have degrees in music and in science, but my true passion is English and writing. I have taken courses in advanced English grammar and composition after graduating with my music degree. I continue to write as a hobby, having had a very modest level of publication success. I am also a subject matter specialist for a company in Australia, working with students from around the world, with students from junior high school to university post graduate.

Tutoring Experience:

I started teaching whilst a university student. At that time, I taught piano and music theory. I then went on to do volunteer English as a foreign language tutoring and, after a long break, I began working with Studiosity as a subject matter specialist in English.

Tutoring Approach:

I am very personal, but I must confess that I am a bit of a stickler for grammar. I like to be personable with my students, but I also like to offer them very detailed information on how they are going wrong, as we well as how they are "going right."
