Personal Description:

Hello! My name is Grace, and I am a 3rd year Linguistics student at McGill University. I am originally from right outside of Washington, D.C. but am now located in Montreal. I have had a passion for math and language from a young age, and I have always loved working with others. My current hobbies are studying foreign languages--specifically Spanish, Russian and Korean--and climbing.

Tutoring Experience:

Four years of tutoring math ranging from Algebra 1 to AP AB Calculus to high school students (2014-2018)
TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) Certified (2020)
Five years of coaching swimming to elementary students (2013-2018)

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in being flexible and adapting to the student's needs; communication is key for understanding an individual's specific learning style. Additionally, I like having a lesson objective ahead of time to keep the session focused, and I am a firm believer that learning should be an enjoyable experience. :)
