Personal Description:
I am a certified teacher who is passionate about finding ways to teach in a manner that enables students of all abilities gain understanding and be engaged in their learning. I am patient, calm, friendly, and approachable. I love to read, paint, and play piano in my spare time.
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught all subjects to children in the early elementary years as well as worked as a substitute teacher in upper elementary, junior high, and high school. I have experience modifying curriculum in order to make it more accessible or more challenging for students depending on their learning needs. Prior to becoming a teacher I worked as an educational assistant with children with special needs.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe that all learners are unique individuals who have different strengths, learn in different ways, and are capable of developing new understandings and skills when given a safe and caring environment and the support they need in order to succeed.
