Personal Description:

I am an economics tutor for high school and college-level students, including those taking honors courses in the field such as AP Macroeconomics. I love teaching and I believe every student can achieve their educational goals through hard work and appropriate academic support.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my undergraduate degree in economics and history and I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Latin American History. During my undergraduate studies, I tutored high school and college students in economics, mathematics, and accounting. I've additionally coached high school debate where I helped students learn how to research, write, and speak publicly.

Tutoring Approach:

I strongly believe in the power of student-centered education and in using different teaching methods to reflect the many different kinds of learners. With the help of the student, I identify their goals and make a plan to help them reach those goals as efficiently as possible. I am a strong communicator and I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into bite-size pieces.
