Personal Description:
Hi! My name is Erica and I am currently pursuing my master's at University of Toronto in Public Health. I have my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and English Literature, and love working with students to reach their educational goals.
Tutoring Experience:
I have had experience tutoring and teaching in the past. For one year, I tutored students 1:1 at Loyola High School in Montreal in subjects such as reading, literacy and English. In 2019, I relocated to London, UK, and taught at a secondary school to students with special educational needs. I worked with students with dyslexia, cerebral palsy, autism and more, and covered a range of topics including English, history, geography and math.
Tutoring Approach:
I am very able to adapt to the individual student's needs, and find materials that work for them. I think having an open and honest relationship with both the students, and their parents, is crucial in order for the student to reach their educational targets.
