Native Mandarin/Chinese speaker, Fluent in English. 5 years of experience teaching Chinese in Vancouver.

Tutoring Experience:

I have 5 years of experience teaching Mandarin/Chinese in Vancouver. Currently, I have 5 students ranging from 4-15 years old in Vancouver. I am a native Mandarin speaker. I am professional in Chinese writing and oral communication. I would like to carry forward the Chinese language, history, and culture to students who are interested in Chinese. I am very patient with kids and I love spending time with them and helping them improve their Mandarin!

Tutoring Approach:

In my class, the student will start with learning PIN YIN to know how to pronounce Chinese. I know Chinese is kind of difficult for beginners. I have some experience helping kids pay attention to me and have fun in the Mandarin class. I will create some games to encourage the student to learn. In my class, I hope to see the smile on the face of my student. They will be confident to speak Chinese! The textbook and practice book I use are HSK books, which are professional textbooks with different levels to learn Chinese. I will provide the textbook and practice book in PDF. If you have your own book, I am flexible to use your book too! I teach adult students as well!
