Personal Description:

I have had great success in mentoring students, especially in the past four years. Each of the students I tutored has earned awards for outstanding performance. I love tutoring biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology, among other science topics. I especially enjoy working with the students I tutor in a one-on-one setting.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my bachelor's degree in General Biology with a minor in Entomology and went on to earn my Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I earned my IB Diploma as well, so as a biology tutor, I can help students in IB Biology SL or HL. I can tutor high school and college students in biology and other life sciences too.

Tutoring Approach:

It's important to me that I adapt my teaching style to each student's strengths. When I first meet with them, I find the methods that work best for them and adjust my methods to match. I also begin by discovering their weaknesses in the topic at hand so I can understand where they need the most help.
