Personal Description:

I am a recent college graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Biology (minor in Psychology) from the University of Illinois at Chicago and will begin medical school at the same university in Fall 2019. I also hold an International Baccalaureate Diploma and have successfully passed the French Language portion of the French Baccalaureate. I am a native Romanian and native-like French speaker, having attended French schools (in France and Canada) for most of my education.
My background in Psychology has given me an understanding of methods which help students learn and how to facilitate that process. Throughout my time in high school and college I have been involved in tutoring and helping my fellow classmates and I look forward to helping other students.

Je viens d'obtenir mon diplôme de licence des sciences en biologie (avec une concentration en psychologie) de l'Université de l'Illinois à Chicago. Je vais commencer l'école de médecine dans la meme université durant l'automne 2019. Je suis également titulaire d'un diplôme de baccalauréat international et j'ai réussi la partie française du baccalauréat français.
Je suis multilingue et je maîtrise le roumain, le français et l'anglais également. Ma langue maternelle est le roumain et j'ai fréquenté des écoles françaises (en France et au Canada) durant mes études.
Mes études en psychologie m'ont permis de comprendre les méthodes qui aident les étudiants à apprendre facilement. Tout au long de mes années au lycée et a l'université, j'ai fait des cours particuliers avec d'autres étudiants et aidé mes camarades de classe.

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored and mentored ever since I was in high school, mostly high school and college level French but I have also taught Romanian, math and biology. I have worked as a contractor for an online tutoring service for the past few months and have maintained a 5 star review from my students and their parents.

Tutoring Approach:

I am very excited to help others learn new concepts. As a recent college and high school graduate, I know the feeling of challenging yourself with advanced classes and the struggles that come with those classes. That understanding truly makes a difference in my methods for teaching and allows me to help others understand complex concepts.
I like to use various materials for tutoring including music and videos since I have experience with students whose learning was greatly enhanced. My philosophy is typically that learning anything requires practice and that if someone doesn't understand a concept, I need to explain it in a different way so, I try to adapt my approach to the student I'm teaching and continuously improve my creativity
