Personal Description:

I am Canadian. I was educated at home until the ninth grade and then completed two years in high school before earning my undergraduate degree in Classics and the History of Science. I then spent two years teaching extra subjects in special needs schools and elementary schools before earning an MPhil at the University of Cambridge. I am currently completing a PhD in the History of Science at Harvard University. I enjoy film making, natural history and rowing. I am also an instructor for beginners rowing at Harvard.

Tutoring Experience:

At the elementary and secondary level I have worked in an elementary school, two special needs schools and several high schools. I have also taught history and social sciences at the University of King's College and Harvard University.

Tutoring Approach:

Although rigorous study is important I believe education should be an enjoyable. I have a calm, gentle personality and I am very adaptable to different situations. I believe people learn best when they encouraged to keep good habits and taught with a spirit of patience and kindness.
