Personal Description:

I was born in a small town in south China, lived and studied in different cities such as GuangZhou, ShangHai, NanJing, and HongKong, finished high school before coming to USA in 1980s.

I went through the basic fundamental Chinese education, such as read, write, and compose, along with Chinese history, economics, politics, and their relationship, how each evolved, interacted, and influenced each other.

Hence I can write Simplified Chinese (also read Traditional Chinese), and speak Mandarin and Cantonese, also understand a few area dialects such as ShangHainese, FuJianese.

Tutoring Experience:

I got formal training in typing English, know the rules and techniques, can type 55-57 words per minute, so I can tutor on typing.

While attending De Anza College, I was teacher's aid in computer lab for several years. After graduation, I worked in various named companies doing computer network support, also teach computer lessons, and fix computers in my own time until now.

Tutoring Approach:

Since I also live and study in USA for so many years, know its culture and history, I can better explain, and precisely translate word meaning, sentence use, speaking & writing grammar difference, appropriate usage in Chinese and American cultures.
