Personal Description:

I am a college student who excels in mathematics. I believe learning secondary school mathematics is important even though its real world uses are so few because it teaches soon-to-be adults how to approach complex problems.

Tutoring Experience:

This would be my first formal tutoring job, but informally I have tutored fellow classmates, family, colleagues, and friends in subjects varying from ESL to leadership skills. Mathematics is merely my favorite of these subjects.

Tutoring Approach:

Getting the answer right is merely a product of learning how to reach that answer. Mathematics has a heavy focus on the process - it is as important, if not more important than the answer itself. It is for these reasons that I like to model my tutoring style on showing the tutee the process, and how to find it. I show the student the metaphorical road so that they may walk it.
