Personal Description:

I am a university student nearly finished a B.Sc. and continuing a B.Ed next year. I am pursuing a career in education, particularly to be a high school math & science teacher. I am experienced with many different types of learners and understand that certain subjects / concepts do not come easily to many. I look forward to helping Ontario youth succeed in their educational pursuits, particularly in the currently challenging times.

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored at all levels from kindergarten to grade 12. Through my education degree, I have had the opportunity to do various in-school placements as a student teacher and have experience with Ontario curricula in grades 9-11 math, grade 9/10 science, and grade 11/12 biology.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in tutoring to suit the goals of the student. I understand that for some people, it's more about passing the final exam than about developing a passion for math, and that's okay! I hope to instill an appreciation for learning regardless of the subject. I believe in enforcing the knowledge of basic principles first, and then the usage of repetition through practice problems, and challenges to extend basic understanding. I am flexible to any other methods and I encourage students to take an active role in the tutoring experience so that they can get the most out of it!
