Tutoring Approach:

-First meeting sets the goal for the student. First assessment starts at existing proficiency on the subject by using 3 verbal questions of increasing complexity. Also encouragement is given for what the student expects at the end; often passing tests or prepare for a next level.
-Once I know the agenda, I explain it to the student. I look for participation level and generate initial interest on the subject.
-As interest is generated in students mind to progress, I set the speed by telling how self study is also required beyond tutorial time. The goal is to minimize external distractions, student should not get stuck on the beginning topics forever by not trying to move ahead based on what is already taught.
-At the end of a month, I should be teaching at the pace same as in a regular class-room.
