Personal Description:

I enjoy working 1-on-1 with students, whether they need a hand in test prep or they're struggling in math concepts. I understand that different students require a different approach to the material. I can tell when students are feeling overwhelmed by the information and could use another approach. I incorporate real-life examples into our study sessions to illustrate difficult concepts, such as scientific notation or graphing trigonometric functions.

Tutoring Experience:

I completed my bachelor's degree in General Sciences and Theater. I achieved 1510 on my SAT with a 710 in Math and a 790 in Verbal. As a math tutor, I am experienced in working with students with emotional, cognitive, and behavioral disorders, such as ADHD and Dyslexia.

Tutoring Approach:

As a teacher, I approach each student as an individual. I believe that relating to my students is a critical part of working towards their academic goals. From my first session, I get to know their learning preferences, goals, and recreational interests. Through this engagement, I can design learning activities that can keep them engaged and motivated.
