Personal Description:
Hi! I'm secondary school teacher in Vancouver and I teach mathematics and music. I'm a bit of a nerd in both areas - I'm fascinated by these two thinking areas and I hope to spark curiosity within my students. My goal through this work is to utilize available resources so that student's aspirations and trajectories aren't deterred during this pandemic.
Outside of teaching, I work as a musician - as a keyboardist and vocalist, and I'm a fan of staying active by hiking and gymnastics.
Tutoring Experience:
I have over 10+ years of tutoring and classroom teaching. I've been passionate about learning and teaching since I was a high school student myself, and have tutored a wide range of students, from those who dread going to their next mathematics class to those who are constantly looking to exceed standards.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring is to first identify the student goals as well as obstacles. I aim for my students to develop creative thinking and problem solving skills that are unique to their strengths, as well as enlighten them to alternative perspectives and approaches.
