Personal Description:
I am a college English professor and a university instructor in Canada. I have a Master's degree in English and hold a CELTA certificate as well as a TESL Ontario Certificate of Accreditation. I'm also a CAEL CE Writing Examiner. CAEL CE is almost the Canadian Version of the IELTS Academic exam.
Tutoring Experience:
I have 16 years of experience teaching general English at different levels of proficiency, at least 10 years of experience teaching IELTS and 6 years working as an English professor at colleges and universities. I've also been working as a Writing Examiner for Paragon Testing Enterprises for the last tree years.
Tutoring Approach:
My main approach to teaching is a communicative one that allows for maximum student talking time and engagement. But it also depends on whether I'm teaching English or ESL. Regarding English subject, I implement an integrated approach which involves all the four skills being worked on around a same topic. When it comes to ESL, I develop a personalized course based on each individual's needs.
