Personal Description:
Hello! My name is Amy and I am a Certified Teacher and Tutor. I have experience tutoring students ages 4-16, that are either struggling or looking to be more challenged. I absolutely LOVE what I do. Please contact me as I would love to work with you throughout the school year or in the summer.
Tutoring Experience:
I am an ESL (English as a Second Language) Teacher in the US. I graduated from UW- La Crosse and majored in Education for grades 1st-8th and minored in TESOL, or teaching English to speakers of other languages. Furthermore, I have my masters in Literacy and Language, and am a certified K-12 Reading Specialist. I have been tutoring for the past 8 years, and I absolutely love what I do.
Tutoring Approach:
My mission and purpose is for students to grow in both academics and confidence. I believe both are equally important for kids at any age. Children deserve to be confident, supported, and challenged. Tutoring allows us to offer individualized instruction to meet children where they are at in order to aid in their growth.
