Personal Description:

Growing up in Regina, I attended Luther College High School and the University of Regina before moving to Saskatoon for four years to complete my Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy. Since graduating in 2017, I have worked as both a pharmacist and pharmacy manager in Saskatchewan. I have a passion for education, particularly in the sciences. In my personal time, I am interested in yoga, CrossFit, learning new languages, and travel.

Tutoring Experience:

The bulk of my teaching and tutoring experience has been working with new immigrants to Canada as well as EAL students. I volunteered at both the Regina Immigrant Women Centre and the Global Gathering Place in Saskatoon, helping newcomers to Canada learn the language and adapt to their new homes.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to education is to focus on understanding rather than memorization - ensuring that all concepts are understood before moving forward with the subject matter. Each student is different (e.g… auditory vs. visual learners), so I tailor my teaching style to play on students' strengths and the method of learning that comes most naturally to them.
