Personal Description:

Hello! This is Aliha and I am a second-year dental student in New York. I’ve been tutoring for the past 5 years and counting. My specialties include Biology, Chemistry, and English Language. I'm extremely patient with all my tutees and focus on inculcating love for the subject we're working on while inspiring them in the process.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been tutoring science to students who have ranged from middle schoolers to high school students taking their SAT subject tests. Since I've been a hardcore basic science student from the very start, I have excelled in subjects like biology and chemistry, which has gotten me all the way to dental school. I have also worked as an on-campus tutor during my undergrad at the Adelphi University's Learning and Writing Center, where I helped bachelors and masters students with their essays, papers, and personal statements. Furthermore, my job as a writing tutor included helping students make efficient paper outlines, conduct time management workshops, coaching writers on building strong thesis statements, among other writing-oriented tasks. Moreover, I've assisted numerous student prepare for standardized English Language tests such as the SATs, IELTS, and TOEFL. Students who have worked with me on their application essays in the past have gone to the following schools: NYU College of Dentistry, Columbia University, New York Medical College among many others.

Tutoring Approach:

Since I am currently becoming a doctor myself, I have been an extremely focused student since high school.
