Personal Description:

I'm a semi retired senior healthcare executive with over 10 years of experience as a primary care physician education provider and continuing medical education (CME) strategists -specializing in integrated continuing professional development (CPD) programs for healthcare professionals. My education programs are built on the fundamental education principles of how we learn, retain and apply information. I apply these principles for the best possible outcomes for high school students wishing to pursue a career in the health sciences.

Tutoring Experience:

Over the past four years I've served as a private high school science tutor for AP Grade 11 & 12 Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Health Sciences. My students appreciate my patient, customized and no stress way of helping them study for the best possible results. With exception to one student last semester, all of my students improved their marks by one full grade with final marks ranging between 78 and 87%.

Tutoring Approach:

Before I accept a student, I first meet their parents to establish the best approach. I then interview the student to assess what's happening in the classroom, surface study habits, identify learning gaps and establish goals. Once accepted, I meet with students once a week for 60- 90 minutes.

I have a current police vulnerable sector check.

Before each study session, students submit questions or topics to be covered, plus notice of chapter test and project due dates. Customized study sessions are followed up with online review material, self testing, flash cards, etc. Parents are always copied on these progress reports. Students are free to contact me ( at no extra charge) during the week if they need a boost.
