Personal Description:

Hi my name is Ailiya and I’m a fourth year biomedical sciences student! Due to my straight A’s in both high school and university I have received many scholarships and awards including the prestigious York Science Scholars Award where I got the opportunity to get involved in cancer research in the summer of first year! I am a hardworking, passionate and goal oriented individual that will never give up on you no matter how many times I may have to re-explain the concept!

Tutoring Experience:

I have been a private tutor throughout grade 11 and 12 where I taught elementary to high school level math, biology and chemistry.

I also have experience working with children at summer camps where I learned how to communicate and work with students younger than myself (between 6-14).

Tutoring Approach:

I will teach concepts with an approach uniquely tailored to each student and their needs.

Then, before taking up new material, review concepts from the last class to ensure the tutee fully understood them.

In addition, I will have online communication available for tutees to ask questions about the material or send me topics in which they would like me to prepare in advance for.
