Personal Description:

I'm a math tutor who has taken mostly upper-level science and math courses, I know how hard they can be. I had to work out my own strategies to be successful with the material, and I can relate to students who are in the same predicament, so I am better able to tutor them.

Tutoring Experience:

I'm currently a medical student and will soon be a medical doctor, and I've been lucky to tutor math subjects such as statistics to both medical students and students with an interest in pursuing medical degrees. My plan is to go into academic medicine, which will allow me to dedicate time to teaching students.

Tutoring Approach:

I adjust my tutoring style to each of my student's needs rather than trying to fit them into my style of tutoring. I begin by focusing on the areas where my student is facing challenges and learning their goals for each session. I then help my student find the learning strategies that work best for them.
