Joel's feedback about Edmund (Beginner Violin tuition near Wantage)
I have been having Violin lessons with Edmund for 3-4 weeks now and I am thoroughly enjoying it. Edmund has a fantastic and varied knowledge about the Violin, styles / genres, and the history of the instrument which all benefit learning how to play. I have found that Edmund has the right amount of focus towards the basics (such as Holding the Bow, Violin Shoulder position, and hand positions) as well as towards learning the scales, bowing styles, and songs that are forming the foundation of my Violin playing. Edmund's teaching style is to push me to improve and learn new things during his lessons, and then for me to practice what I have learnt for the next lesson, I always leave feeling like I have achieved something, and its great to see the dramatic improvements I have made in such a short space of time. Really happy with my progress, 5 stars from me!
Lorraine's feedback about Adam (Casual Composition tuition near Wantage)
Adam is a conscientious teacher who works methodically in a professional manner. He gave me confidence after just one lesson and really knows his stuff. If you want to learn composition and music theory Adam can make you understand with ease areas of music which previously seems inaccessible.
Hilde's feedback about Stefan (Beginner Violin tuition near Wantage)
As an adult starter, Stefan has kindly accepted to be my teacher. And he is just great: very knowledgeable about music in general, excellent understanding of the mechanical elements of the human body that influence each part of violin music-making, and very adaptable in style and explanation. I would definitely recommend him to anybody who wishes to learn the violin in a professional, yet comforting and encouraging environment.
Lorraine's feedback about Nikolai (Beginner Accordion tuition near Wantage)
I had a two hour session with Nikolai so I could understand what I could do to move forward with my accordian playing. He helped me to see that I wasn't using the accordian properly and that I needed to work on fingering, bellow control and timing of my bass notes to treble. The session was very informative and Nikolai offered help for some time after when I needed advice about buying anotyer accordian. I would say Nikolai is a good choice for an intermediate learner who has picked up bad habits as he has much experience playing the instrument professionally.
Lorraine's feedback about Michael (Casual Music Theory tuition near Wantage)
I only had three lessons. He's a lovely cheerful guy and flexible but lessons weren't very organised so material kept being repeated. Otherwise he can sing and is upbeat so good for a student needing firm direction and positivity!
