This is how 2 referees rated Rachel:
I am a cellist studying at the Royal College of Music, currently offering online tuition and face to face tuition where appropriate. I come from a large and musical family, meaning I have experience with all ages and different types of abilities. I am a very flexible person and try to be as understanding of each individual person as possible. I have experience performing solo recitals (such as part of WInchester festival) as well as chamber music and in orchestras and would encourage a pupil to do similar if they have a passion there. I am lively and energetic and enjoy problem solving and thinking outside the box as I understand every person is unique.
I have experience teaching piano and cello to adults and children alike. I have also taught a boy with Asperger's. My mother is also a cello and piano teacher so i grew up watching her teach and occasionally go to her for tips when using a new book etc. I have also recently taken my teaching diploma
My approach to music tuition is that it should be fun. Every person is different and I feel it is important to respond to the individual so I try to build a relationship with the pupil so that I can teach them best and take on board their aims.
