She has participated in masterclasses with pianist and broadcaster, Iain Burnside, an opera scenes masterclass with British tenor Alan Oke and most recently a German Lieder masterclass with pianist and vocal coach Michael McMahon. She previously studied at Edinburgh Napier University graduating with a First in Performance in 2015. Summer 2016, she performed her solo debut concert ‘A Transatlantic Spectacle’ in the Edinburgh International Fringe Festival. Rachael has performed in numerous choral and solo works both in Scotland and America, having spent a year of her degree at Central Washington University, WA. Rachael continues her studies with Soprano Irene Drummond.
As well as teaching privately I have taught at various schools over the last few years. From 2015-2018, I taught as the graduate vocal teacher at the Junior Napier Music School. Over the last year I have taught at several schools in London including the Saturday Morning Music School - Concert Canary and at the Merton Music Foundation.
I have a DipABRSM in Vocal Teaching, and am PVG Certified.
Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) enhanced background check applied as of present day.
I would consider myself to be an enthusiastic teacher. My main aim is to help my students develop a healthy vocal technique in which they can use for any style of singing. So whether you're preparing for an exam, looking to improve your vocal technique or just keen to learn how to sing for a hobby I am more than happy to help!
