Information About Peter - Hillsborough teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Peter:
Hello, my name is Peter and I am a full time, professional piano teacher (EPTA-UK) with over twenty years experience teaching the piano and theory of music. I have a Master of Arts in Music and Bachelors degree in Music and currently teach face-to face and online.
I teach piano and music theory locally, both privately and in schools, and further afield via online lessons. Piano tuition is on a one-to-one basis, and theory and GCSE Music one-to-one or in group classes.
My pupils have and continue to maintain an outstanding success rate in over 800 music exams from various exam boards. They also continually enjoy high levels of success in competition at both local and regional level, including the Belfast, Portadown and Holywood Music Festivals and Primary School Musician of the Year. Pupils have achieved numerous 1st, 2nd and 3rd awards, alongside the award of Most Promising Pianist.
Pupils from the age of 5 to 60+ attend weekly half-hour or hour-long lessons in piano performance (Beginner to Diploma) and music theory (Grade 1 to 8). Small group theory classes are available, taking beginners to ABRSM Grade 5 over the period of a year. A course in CCEA GCSE Music is also available.
Lessons are provided both in face-to-face and online format. Online lessons are provided through Zoom, using multiple cameras and high quality recording equipment.
Pupils can chose to learn with or without sitting exams. Those choosing to sit exams can do so with ABRSM, Trinity, LCM and Rockschool.
