Tse Fu , Oliver, recently graduated from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire with a First-Class Honours degree. He is currently studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, which is now ranked as the world’s top 3 conservatoires in the world global rankings, to continue his master’s degree with Stephen Coombs as a professional pianist. In addition to solo recitals, Oliver also enjoys playing with other talented musicians in chamber groups, discovering new music both traditional and contemporary. Seeing enjoyment in audiences is always a great gift and one that Oliver feels passionately about. Oliver also enjoys composing and currently has an album called Wanderlust live on iTunes and Spotify.
Oliver started learning the piano at the age of 13 and has been educated at the Guildhall School Music and Drama with Sanae Nakajima and Chenyin Li in London for 2 years from the age of 17. During his early years in Taiwan, he won multiple competitions and has given concerts in the two main cities Taipei and Kaohsiung. During his time in the UK, he has participated fully in the musical life towards his career, studying piano with Daniel Browell at the RBC, participating in masterclasses with Steven Osborne, Tom Ostrovskis, Peter Donohoe, and Co Stone.
In 2020, his exceptional talent has led him to represent the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire to perform one of Beethoven's 32 piano sonata as a celebration of Beethoven's 250th anniversary, which was broadcasted on Scala live radio. It was also a tour including the Ulverston, Chipping Campden, and Bolzano festival in both the UK and Italy. Oliver was also selected in one of the only three places within the whole conservatoire, to perform a concerto for a major project as a soloist. With conductor Daniele Rosina and the RBC Symphony Orchestra to perform the Ravel piano concerto in G.
Oliver’s developing career has also led him to give recitals in prestigious halls in Cambridge and London as well as his performance in the Bradshaw hall at the RBC. He is now absolutely excited to continue to develop his career in Glasgow, as well as his studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
As a versatile individual, Oliver has had the opportunity of holding a professional role as a piano teacher at Miart Music Centre in Birmingham for 4 years. Furthermore, A private piano teacher for over 5 years in the UK. Through these experiences, He has been fortunate enough to educate students from age 4 to 30 who achieved distinctions at ABRSM grade levels as well as other diploma levels. Seeing enjoyment in students is always a great gift, and one that Oliver feel's extremely passionate about.
In Oliver's opinion, we are the architect of hope for the next generation. He hopes to not only motivate students in ascertaining their strengths and abilities but also discovering their passion through music. Oliver is extremely excited to provide a stimulating learning environment with his teaching experiences which received tremendous reviews from students and parents. Encouraging students to achieve their goals at their full potential.
Mainly focusing on Classical piano playing in my teaching, as well as ABRSM exams or other diploma levels. However, also extremely flexible in teaching different genres of piano music, such as jazz, pop, or any other piano music casually.
