Information About Michael - Glasgow teacher - (1 review)
This is how 2 referees rated Michael:
I teach singing, piano and music theory. Lessons are typically available at my home studio in the west end of Glasgow, in the heart of Finnieston, and during the current restrictions online.
Lessons are tailored towards pupil’s needs and musical tastes, whether that’s classical, jazz, musical theatre, contemporary or a mixture of styles. Pupils can learn just for fun or to work towards qualifications from ARBSM and other similar exam boards, or in preparation for SQA Nationals and Highers, or GCSEs and A-levels.
Most pupils come to me with a view to long term lessons, however I have also taught short courses and coached for a particular upcoming performance, audition or exam.
I currently have most availability on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, or early afternoons most weekdays.
I have been teaching privately for over 7 years, and have also taught short courses, workshops and group lessons.
I have experience of teaching pupils with learning difficulties including visual impairment, autistic spectrum disorder and dyslexia
Lessons are designed for the needs of the individual, but a beginner's lesson typically includes a warm up, work on sense of rhythm and pitch, understanding of music notation, instrument technique work on repertoire or pieces, and practise strategies. I primarily teach through using the instrument, playing or singing to learn through experience.
Most importantly I aim to make sure all of my lessons are fun!
