Personal Description:
Freelance multi-instrumentalist and music teacher based in Leeds with over 10 years experience teaching experience. (Online lessons available!)
Tutoring Experience:
I am experienced in teaching my instruments across all levels and experience, with students ranging from age 5 to 70+! I currently teach woodwind for Leeds City Council's music service (Artforms), both one-to-one and in group lessons with adults, teenagers and younger children. I also provide piano and guitar lessons in primary schools with Sheffield-based social enterprise Link Learning. I have taught private music lessons for over 10 years, both in person and online. I also have experience of leading workshop-style group lessons, such as for Leeds University Folk Society.
Tutoring Approach:
I am a dynamic and versatile tutor, and above all else, I aim to inspire confidence and nurture a real love for music in my students. In my lessons I take a flexible and creative approach. I centre my teaching around the interests and goals of my students, whilst also providing them with a thorough grounding in the tools they need to be able to really enjoy playing their instrument and feel themselves making progress.
