Information About Jake - Edgware teacher - (1 review)
This is how 2 referees rated Jake:
I am an outgoing, enthusiastic individual who absolutely loves music. I mainly work with 2 original projects (Bare Jams & Dat Brass) in which I am fortunate enough to tour the Europe with playing some amazing festivals and venues on a regular basis. As well as performing in these projects I also work as a session musician so am exposed to a wide range of genres.
I have Trinity guildhall Jazz Grade 8, ABRSM Grade 8 (distinction), ABRSM Performance diploma, ABRSM grade 5 theory and a BSc in music technology (I believe that it is very beneficial for musicians to have a basic understanding of music technology due it playing a huge factor when performing live or recording content).
I am equipped with knowledge and passion to take your playing to the next level.
I have been a freelance teacher for 7 years (both one to one and classroom) and teach at The National Youth Music Camp on an annual basis.(would recommend this to any student under 18).
I am experienced in Classical, Jazz, theory and Music Technology tuition.
My approach to teaching is, it's like going to the gym, it's a lifestyle that needs maintaining and to maintain a lifestyle you have to also enjoy it, anyone can do it to any level that suits them. I make this lifestyle feel achievable through the philosophy of, 'It doesn't take talent to practice.'
I prefer to teach at my home studio as I have recording resources and believe recording yourself can really aid in efficient development.
