Personal Description:

I am a pianist and teacher based in Leeds.

I have performed both as a soloist and as a member of chamber music groups, in England and abroad (Steinway Hall in London, Leeds Trinity Church, Wakefield Cathedral, Harrogate, Saltaire, Maastricht University in the Netherlands, Bari-Trento-Rome in Italy, Thessalonika in Greece).

I have had masterclasses with internationally renowned artists such as Paul-Badura Skoda, Cyprien Katsaris, Bernard Ringeissen, George Kontrafouris, Peter Hill, Wolfgang Manz, Craig Bailey, Larry Hammett, Andrew Snedden and others.

Although self-taught in Jazz-Blues, I have been mentored by the Grammy award winner Milcho Leviev in improvisation and composition. Being a part of Jazz, Rock, Pop and Electronic music bands and projects has been something I've always enjoyed, however these last few years I've focused mostly on my solo work.

Tutoring Experience:

As a teacher I have been active for the last 11 years. My approach is individual for each student's needs and goals. Everything I teach my students is practical and they will apply what they learn in what they want to do. All my students who have taken the ABRSM, Trinity and Rockschool exams have been very successfull and some of them have entered conservatoirs and music universities. Others have used the lessons to take their music productions to the next level and/or just for the joy of making music for themselves.
I have taught total beginners to quite advanced students and very different age groups as well, from little kids to adults and the elderly.
I am a piano tutor at Yorkshire Music School Saltaire.
